The other day I finished reading Praying For Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn. It got me thinking to what it really will in-tail for us ladies to really be praying for our future husbands. I know I might be sounding like a weird-o right now but stay with me here. You see, what we speak into existence really does happen weather or not it's now or 6 months to a 5 years, it will happen.
Look at some of these bible verses:
And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
Isaiah 55:11 ESV
So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 ESV
So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Those are just a 3 verses- I could write out more.
So, why not speak a prayer over your future husband? Why not pray that he will see God's strength and desires for him? Pray he will go to God for every need. In praying for him this will also strengthen you in the process. You'll become more apt to praying than just wishing, you'll immediately be praying before anything, you'll be in the word- should I go on? It'll change you for the better and in return be ready to with stand any relationship battles that will face. You both will be grounded in Christ.
